The Nittany Lions play basketball at the Bryce Jordan Center, a building that incorporates ultramodern acoustics, electronic, communications and overall design. Highlight features include a high-tech sound system, one of the largest portable basketball floors in the world, a video monitor within the scoreboard capable of producing near television quality, and full back and arm rests for each one of 15,261 seats. The seating capacity is more than double Rec Hall.
In addition to center court, the building includes locker rooms for the Nittany Lions and Lady Lions; eight visiting locker rooms; a press room; a Founder's room and other function rooms. There also is a 18,800-square-foot auxiliary gym just steps away from the main floor.
Penn State's athletic offices are housed in the Jordan Center, having moved there from Rec Hall. All of the Nittany Lion and Lady Lion coaches, with the exception of football and swimming, call the building home.
In addition to its athletic and entertainment uses, the Jordan Center is the site of Penn State's annual commencements, trade shows, academic convocations and a wide variety of other events.
