ADA Information
Parking
In accordance with Pennsylvania law, parking is available near the stadium for persons with disabilities. Ticket holders with a Handicap License Plate or a state issued Handicap Placard may use parking lot #9 behind the Intramural Building. Patrons must arrive from the west on Park Avenue to access this lot. Shuttle Busses will circulate this lot for two hours prior to kickoff and will stop at Gate B west of the stadium.
Post-game
Shuttles leave from Gate B as soon as they are full, and operate approximately two hours following conclusion of the game.
Fans Requiring Wheelchair Parking
For fans requiring a wheelchair for mobility, please contact Lisa Clark at (814) 863-0971 in advance to purchase the proper parking pass for parking areas south of stadium.
Stadium Entrances
Gate A, located in the southeast corner of the stadium, has two elevators that provide access to the mid-level concourse, Mt. Nittany Club and south upper deck. Fans are encouraged to enter at Gate B and travel on the inside of the stadium to Gate A elevators.
Gate B, located in the southwest corner of the stadium, has a ramp meeting the standard of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) that goes to all levels of the south end zone and an escalator to the mid-level concourse.
Gate C, located in the northwest corner of the stadium, provided easy access to wheelchair seating in the northwest corner of the stadium and the north end zone.
Gate D and E, located in the north and northeast portions of the stadium, provide access to the stadium, but are not convenient for those with limited mobility or those restricted to a wheelchair.
At the Stadium
Fans seated in the south and southwest portions of the stadium with mobility or limited mobility are encouraged to use the escalator or accessible ramp at Gate B.
If your medical condition prohibits you from walking up the accessible ramps or using the escalator, you may go to the customer assistance booth and arrange to be transported to the elevators at Gate A. An elevator pass may be obtained from the Athletic Ticket Office. Please contact Lisa Clark at (814) 863-0971.
Fans seated in the north and northwest portions of the stadium near or above the mid-level concourse who need assistance in getting to their seats should see the Customer Assistance Representative located just inside Gate B. From there a shuttle (motorized transport) will periodically take fans up the north ramp to either the mid-level concourse or the upper deck. We have limited equipment, so there will most likely be delays in getting to your seat. When necessary, wheelchairs will be used on the east and west sides.
Specially equipped restrooms for handicapped fans are located throughout the south end zone and under section WJ at the northwest corner of the stadium. In addition, all new restrooms on the concourse are accessible.
Customer Assistance
Customer assistance services are available from two hours prior to kick-off until all fans are served or until the beginning of the game. All requests for this service should be made in person at Gate B and will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Either the fan requesting the service or his/her representative must wait at the customer assistance are until the staff can provide the service requested.
Fans requiring special assistance to reach their seats are provided transportation up the appropriate ramp leading to their seating section. Services are available by golf cart for those fans who can walk to their seats from the upper deck of the North stands. When necessary, wheelchairs will be used on the East and West sides of the stadium.
Post-game
If post-game services are necessary, they must be requested before kick-off so appropriate personnel and equipment can be assigned. The customer assistance staff will help fans return to the bottom of their section ramp or to Gate B.
Shuttles leave from Gate B as soon as they are full, and operate approximately two hours following conclusion of the game.
Fans who were transported to their seats in the north or northwest can be transported down to ground level after the ramps are cleared enough to avoid pedestrian/vehicular conflicts.
The escalators do not operate in the down position and will not be available post-game.
Fans using Gate A elevators can get transportation service where they were dropped off when they went to the elevator pre-game. Because the team primarily uses this corridor, you may experience some delays until the team clears the roadway.
Ticket Purchases/Exchanges
If you are in need of special seating, there are designated areas within Beaver Stadium that accommodate both wheelchairs and fans requiring easy access seats. You may purchase a limit of two tickets per game for these areas, based on availability. You may also trade a limit of two tickets from other areas of the stadium, (one for the disabled person and one for a companion), for seating in these special areas, based on availability. Arrangements need to be made in advance of the game with Lisa Clark at (814) 863-0971.
For fans that need accessible seats but obtain tickets from sources, (such as friends, relatives or private sellers), other than Penn State Athletics or ticket vendors approved by Penn State Athletics, it is especially important that you make arrangements in advance for ticket exchange to ensure availability of accessible seating. Once tickets for all accessible seating are sold, we cannot guarantee a ticket exchange will be possible.
All seats are reserved and there are no general admission tickets that allow fans to stand, sit or congregate in areas other than assigned seats for the purpose of watching the game.
