Bill Dorenkott Resigns as Penn State Head Swimming Coach
Penn State head men's and women's swimming coach Bill Dorenkott today announced his resignation to accept the position of head women's swimming coach at Ohio State. Dorenkott departs following 13 years of service at Penn State, including 10 years as the women's head coach and seven years as the men's head coach. Dorenkott led the women's program to its first Big Ten Championships, coming in 2002, 2005 and 2006. Read More >>

Penn State Student-Athletes Earn 54 Academic All-Big Ten Winter Honors
Fifty-four Nittany Lion student-athletes, representing seven winter sports, have earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. Penn State's 54 honorees ranks second among Big Ten institutions and brings the Lions' all-time total to 2,933 over the last 14 years, including 135 selections during the 2007-2008 school year. Kelly Nelson became Penn State's only All-American this year and the first All-American swimmer from Penn State since Kaitlin O'Brien in 2006 with a sixth place finish in the 200 butterfly on Saturday to cap Penn State's stay at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
