High School: Earned four varsity letters in swimming at Shady Side Academy in Fox Chapel, Pa. and was a team captain for two years....Also participated in lacrosse.

Personal: Colby was born on December 21, 1988 in Pittsburgh, Pa....She is the daughter of Robert and Jacquelyn Capretto....Has an older sister, Courtney (21)....Her father played football at Penn State from 1964-1968....Intends to major in either business or architecture....Favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Why I Chose Penn State: "I chose Penn State for the academics and how great the people are on the swimming team. Since the first time I walked on campus, I wanted to be a part of the Penn State community."
