Katie Schoepfer Assists the U.S. U-23 National Team to Decisive Win
In what has been a busy spring for the Penn State women's soccer team and it's involvment in U.S. Soccer, sophomore All-American Katie Schoepfer (Waterford, Conn.) recently returned from training camp with the U.S. U-23 National Team. The team opened up their weeklong training camp with a solid (7-1) victory over the University of Portland in front of 3,500 fans at Merlo Field. Read More >>

Three Nittany Lion women's soccer standouts will compete at the highest level of soccer play as teammates of the SoccerPlus Connecticut Reds, the returning USASA U23 champions. Connecticut natives, Alyssa Naeher (Seymour, Conn.) and Katie Schoepfer (Waterford, Conn.) will be returning Reds-players and will be joined by Nittany Lion teammate, Zoey Bouchelle (Cockeysville, Md.). PSU Head Coach Walsh Headed to Beijing Olympics with U.S. Women's Soccer Squad
With a 3-0 victory over Costa Rica in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying tournament, the U.S. Women's National Team- with Penn State head coach Erica Walsh on the bench as an assistant coach- qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games on April 9. A 6-5 win over rival Canada (and Penn State alumna Erin McLeod) in penalty kicks Saturday then grabbed the tournament championship for Walsh and the U.S. Team. Read More >>
