Before Penn State
A first team all-state selection she was also first team all-district while captaining her Ursulina Academy team to its 17th consecutive Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) state championship... the title was one of three Daus was a part of at Ursuline Academy that continued a string of championships numbering 17 total... she scored the game-winning goal for her Solar 89 club team in the 2007 State Cup Final, eventually pushing her team to the 2007 Southern Regional Championship... coached by Kevin Smith, Solar 89 was also a 2006 state cup finalist... in addition, Daus is a two-time all-state track & field performer, helping her school to a Texas state championship in 2005... she chose Penn State over Saint Louis and Southern Methodist.

Born on December 30, 1988 in Harrisburg Pa., her full name is Kristen Catherine Daus... she is the daughter of Mark and Kathy Daus and has one sister Allie, a senior on this year's Penn State team, and one brother Mark... an economics major.
