Penn State Career 2006-07 Season - Sophomore: Notched three victories at the Penn State Fall Classic to begin a great sophomore fall season...Scored a pair of victories in Penn State's quarterfinal and semifinal bouts in the ECAC Championships...Advanced to the semifinals of the ITA Northeast Regional singles draw, which included a 7-6, 7-5 triumph over 50th-ranked Brandon Wai of Yale...Fell to Columbia's Jared Drucker 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals...Finished the fall with an 11-3 mark in singles...His 11 wins tied Michael James for the team lead...Went 4-1 in doubles during the fall season while paired with Guilluame St-Maurice...Missed the first month and a half of the spring season with a collar bone injury...Made his dual-match debut in Penn State's 7-0 rout against Duquesne...Defeated the Dukes' Jeremy McClelland (6-1, 6-3)...Went on to win his first five singles bouts of the spring...Scored four of those five wins in Big Ten matches, which propelled the Nittany Lions to four consecutive victories in conference play...Defeated Peter Antons of No. 64 Indiana in Penn State's 4-3 victory over the Hoosiers in the regular season finale...Completed the season with a 17-5 overall record...Went 6-2 in duals and 5-2 in the Big Ten...Posted a 3-3 mark in dual-match doubles matches...Finished the season ranked 29th in the ITA Northeast Region...Named to the Academic All-Big Ten list for the first time in his career...Given the Iron Man Award at the team banquet. 2005-06 Season - Freshman: In his first semester of collegiate competition Lynch not only found success on the court, but in the classroom, as he received Dean's List honors following the Fall 2005 semester...Opened his Penn State career with a singles win at the Penn State Fall Classic in September and teamed up with sophomore Michael James to post a victory in the doubles competition...Was the last Lion to remain in the main draw of the Big Ten Individual Indoor Championships, defeating two opponents on the first day of action...Posted two 6-0, 6-0 victories in the Lions' spring openers vs. St. Bonaventure and Bloomsburg...Continued his winning ways throughout the beginning of spring play, winning his first six singles matches...Came through with a big win vs. No. 49 Virginia Tech, en route to the Lions' 4-3 upset vs. the Hokies...Received Most Improved Player accolades at the annual team banquet...Finished his freshman campaign with an overall singles record of 18-7, going 14-6 in dual matches...Also went 7-6 vs. Big Ten opponents on the season...Combined with various teammates to go 7-1 overall in doubles competition...Was named to the Dean's List. Junior Career: Ranked No. 1 junior in the Mid-Atlantic Region for boy's 16s and earned a top 50 national ranking in 2003 and 2004...Led high school to the Division II State Championships...Played No. 1 singles for the Mid-Atlantic squad in the Junior Davis Cup in Columbia, S.C. in 2005.
