High School:
Ed earned three varsity letters in swimming at Hershey High School, where he was a team captain his last two years.As a sophomore and a junior, he helped lead his team to the Class 2A state championship. He was a part of the 400 free relay team that finished fifth in the state as a junior and that same team finished second in his senior year. He also swam on the 200 free relay team that finished fifth at states as a senior.

Personal:
Ed was born on May 30, 1988 in Harrisburg, Pa. He is the son of Jeff and Fay Felty. and has an older brother Rob, who is currently a junior on the PSU swimming team. He enjoys playing tennis, using computers, and photography. He is enrolled in the division of undergraduate studies at Penn State.

Why I chose Penn State:
"I chose Penn State because I liked the unity of the swimming teams on my recruiting trip. I love the environment here at Penn State and by brother is on the swimming team as well."
