High School: Swam for just one year as a freshman as Bridgewater Raritan High School in Bridgewater, N.J....Team won its county conference championship when he was a member of it.

Personal: James was born on April 5, 1989 in Somerville, N.J....Parents are Jim and Robin Capparell and also has two older sisters, Melissa (23) and Meghan (20), who is on the swimming team at Princeton....Plans to major in accounting and would like to be an accountant....Lists playing the guitar as a hobby.
