Matt Warner played in every game as a freshman for Penn State, adding valuable depth at the short stick defensive position. A year wiser and more experienced, Warner heads into 2007 looking to solidify the team's defense and provide a real threat in transition.

Lion Career:
2006: Warner played in 13 games for Penn State, starting two. He ended his rookie campaign with three points off a goal and two assists. He took three shots and collected 13 ground balls. Warner got his goal in Penn State's 9-4 win at Hobart.

High School/Personal:
Born Sept. 5, 1987...Rookie of the Year as a freshman at GHS, scoring nine goals and 12 assists...58 points as a sophomore with 18 goals and 40 assists...first team all-league in lacrosse and football as a junior with 26 goals and 43 assists...league and team MVP in football as a senior, lacrosse MVP as well with 38 goals and 45 assists...GHS Athlete of the Year...also played basketball...son of James and Diann Warner...four brothers (all younger), John, Jimmy, Mike and Joe...potential business management major at PSU.
