High school All-American Ryan McAleenan lived up to his pre-collegiate accolades with a fine first season at Penn State. Now a sophomore, McAleenan will look to make even bigger waves in 2007 as a key member of the Nittany Lion midfield corps.

Lion Career:
2006: McAleenan played in all 13 games for Penn State in 2006 and started four of them. He ended the campaign with five points off three goals and two assists, took 16 shots and grabbed eight ground balls.

High School/Personal:
Born August 21, 1987...first team all-state as both a junior and senior at East Grand Rapids...2005 high school All-American...2005 Chuck Vorce State Player of the Year...helped guide team to Class B state title in 2004 and state runner-up finish in 2005...also lettered in football...lacrosse team captain in both 2004 and 2005...son of Greg and Karin McAleenan...one sister, Corey...pursuing a business management major at Penn State.
