Kevin Cousins is the fourth former standout from Huguenot High School in Richmond, Va., to suit up for the Nittany Lions in the past decade. He joins fullback Marcus McFee, linebacker Eric Sturdifen and wideout Bruce Branch as Huguenot alumni who have matriculated to Penn State in recent years. Cousins is eager to return to the field after taking a redshirt last fall and suffering a knee injury in winter conditioning that kept him out of spring practice. Cousins should be back to 100 percent prior to the start of preseason practice and will look to vie for playing time in the rotation for a talented receiving corps. Cousins has good size and skills and has an opportunity to play a larger role for the offense this fall. He is one of six returning Nittany Lions from Virginia.
2006 Sophomore Season
Cousins saw action in four games in his first collegiate season on the field. He played against Akron, Youngstown State, Northwestern and Temple and made his first career reception against the Owls.
