An exceptional scorer who possesses great quickness and athleticism, Battle posted more than 2,000 career points while leading Bishop Maginn High School to prominence as one of the top teams in the state of New York...A top 100 ranked recruit, Battle is also a terrific passer and his ability to push the ball in transition and penetrate and get others involved has the Penn State coaching staff excited...A good shooter from behind the arc, he made 136 three-pointers while averaging better than 26 points per game in his last two high school seasons and will challenge for immediate playing time at either the point or off-guard positions in his freshman season.

He lived there until the age seven...Has many family members still residing in the area...One of nine children, he has four brothers (one older and three younger) and four sisters (one older and three younge)....A member of the National Honor Society, he carried over a 90 percent average in high school and was enrolled in advanced placement classes.
