Bolstered by a seventh-place finish in the 10,000-meters at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, McCandless has put in a hard summer of training and is poised and ready to help the Lions move to the front of the pack. After transferring from Maryland, McCandless stepped right into the Penn State scoring in the 2006, finishing in the top five in all six competitions. McCandless' PR 30:19.06 at Penn Relays was the best PSU 10K time during the outdoor season.
