Mahoney looks to be a big contributor for the Lions this fall, after two solid seasons on the track in 2007. As a sophomore, Mahoney clocked a stellar 14:26.73 for 5000-meters at the prestigious Penn Relays, the second-fastest time by a Lion all season. He also proved one of the Lions' top steeplechasers, running a PR 9:18.56 to finish 11th at the Big Ten Championships.
