One of the top distance recruits in the country, Borchers will join the Nittany Lions after a stellar career at Yellow Springs High School in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Borchers was the top-rated prep miler in 2007 at 4:03.33 with wins at both the Nike Indoor and Nike Outdoor National Championships. Borchers also boasts a successful high school cross country resume, capping his prep career with an Ohio State Division III title.
